The Plainsman (Paramount, 1937). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style B. Gary Cooper plays Wild Bill Hickok and Jean Arthur is Calamity Jane in one of the best Westerns to come out of the 1930s. Director Cecil B. DeMille played fast and loose with the facts surrounding the lives of these two very famous characters of the Old West (as usual), but his version certainly delivered plenty of exciting entertainment. Offered here is the extremely hard-to-find original Style B one sheet for this classic film. The poster has fold wear with cross fold separations, pinholes in the corners and edge wear. There is a four inch tear and a small hole at the top. There was also a dime-sized hole in Cooper's cheek, along with small tears and other light paper loss. This has all been beautifully and professionally restored, giving this poster a very clean appearance. Fine on Linen.
