    Description

The Outlaw (RKO, R-1950). Australian Daybill (13" X 30"). Of any film ever made by Hollywood, none had more publicity than Howard Hughes' "The Outlaw." It was the first picture for nineteen-year-old Jane Russell, whose assets caused so much controversy, the film was held up from "official" release from 1941 until 1946. One of the major problems, and there were many, was the film's poster art. The pinup appearance of many of the posters was considered too risqué, and had to be toned down for American audiences. This Australian daybill is far more attractive than the US one sheet for the same release and is evidently based on the Zoe Mozert art used for the Spanish release one sheet from 1946. Soft folds only. Mint.
