The Oregon Trail (Republic, 1936). Very Fine- on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Without a doubt, this is the finest one sheet from any of the John Wayne B-Westerns to come out of Republic Pictures. The film was basically a remake of the classic Raoul Walsh Western, The Big Trail, and found Wayne again leading a wagon train out west, and fighting perils and villains along the way. The poster features some of the action depicted in the film and we can only imagine what action that was, as the film bears the distinction of being the only "lost" film in Wayne's career. The poster is in amazing condition with bright colors and no fading whatsoever. There is only minor color touchup to the fold lines and there is a bit of airbrushing to the border along the center right edge. There is some touchup applied to the upper and lower centerpoints, and now the poster presents very nicely. This is one not to be missed!

    Estimate: $15,000 - $30,000.
