Description
The Last Outlaw (RKO, 1936). One Sheet (27" X 41").Based on a story by John Ford, who directed a silent version in 1919, this film features Harry Carey playing a notorious western outlaw just released from prison. When he returns home he discovers how modernized the world has become and seeks out his old friendly enemy H.B. Walthall; who has been appointed to a do-nothing position under a new sheriff who advocates scientific crime-fighting methods. The two team up when Carey's daughter (Margaret Callahan) is taken during a robbery by Tom Tyler and his outlaws; they use their "old-fashion" methods to save the day. Hoot Gibson also co-stars as Callahan's boyfriend. Prior to restoration, the poster had an extra horizontal fold in the upper border, small chips along the left border, in the image area and at crossfolds, touch-up to the folds, and the borders have been airbrushed. The poster features great images of the stars and would display beautifully in any western collection. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
