The Last Outlaw (Paramount, 1927). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A. Gary Cooper was Paramount's new up-and-coming star when he was cast in this classic silent Western. You only have to stare at this one sheet a moment to recognize the steely determination and expression that would make Cooper an icon of the cinema and now try to look away... you can't! Simply stated, this is one of the most beautiful posters ever produced for the actor and it is also one of the most sought after silent one sheets. Of the almost two-inch wide border (which is very common to silent one sheets) almost half of it had been trimmed off at one time. There was also a seven inch tear in the bottom border that went straight up to the edge of "directed." These defects have been corrected and, along with some very slight color-touch to the fold lines, this poster now appears near mint. Fine on Linen.
