Silver Spurs (Universal, 1936). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27.25" X 41").
Riding his famous horse, Silver, Buck Jones became one of the most successful and beloved stars of the B-western genre, at one point receiving more fan mail than any other actor in the world. By the time this film was produced, Jones had solidified his status as one of Universal Pictures' top stars, and his posters were crafted to capture that star power. This one sheet is a prime example, showcasing a striking portrait of the cowboy hero alongside Silver, promising all the adventure and action fans had come to expect. This poster has touchup along the folds, slight paper loss at central crossfold, extra horizontal creases in the top half, and a tear into Jones' face. The linen has been trimmed to the edge.
