    Description

She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (RKO, 1949). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
The second of director John Ford's famed cavalry trilogy, this was the only one to be filmed in Technicolor. John Wayne portrays a cavalry officer on the verge of retirement, who must face a final crisis when the Arapaho resume their raiding parties. Noted for its sympathetic portrayal of Native Americans and set in the splendor of Monument Valley, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon is one of Wayne and Ford's best films. General signs of use include slight edge wear, mild creasing, and smudges. Two cards have vertical creases, and two have pinholes. The title card and two scene cards have had partial touchup applied to some of these issues, as well as to small border tears on the title card, and the scene cards had paper loss in the right and bottom borders into the border art and NSS information. Other unaddressed wear in the partially restored cards includes surface scuffing on the title card, an x-shaped scratch at the top of one card's background, and one card has partially erased pencil marks in the upper background. Fine+.
