Description

King of the Pecos (Republic, 1936). One Sheet (27" X 41"). John Wayne stars in this western as a law student seeking revenge on the ruthless land baron who killed his parents; after he is thwarted in the courts, he chooses to explore frontier justice instead. Wayne would not become a bankable Hollywood star until three years after this film was made, in John Ford's "Stagecoach." In the years between his big break in "The Big Trail" and the break in "Stagecoach," he made almost 60 "B" Westerns such as this one. The posters for these early Wayne Westerns are some of the most collectible in the hobby, especially when a poster is as attractive as this one! Mounted on linen with some wear and minor chipping to the center vertical fold line and top horizontal fold line. There are pin holes in the corners and some very slight cross fold paper loss. The colors are vibrant and the poster displays beautifully. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
