    Description

Home on the Prairie (Republic, 1939). Very Fine- on Linen. One Sheet (27.5" X 41").
This striking artwork of famed singing cowboy Gene Autry atop his rearing horse, Champion, is considered one of the all time great Western posters. Autry plays a Texas Ranger trying to halt an anthrax epidemic created by ranchers smuggling cattle over the U.S./Mexico border. Touchup has been applied to the folds, misfolds, pinholes, and tears. Still visible are unobtrusive stains and smudges.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
