Haunted Gold (Warner Bros. - Vitagraph, 1932). Rolled, Very Fine. Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Every on-screen cowboy had his horse with a memorable name, and John Wayne was no exception. While he was briefly with Warner Bros. Pictures in the early 1930s, Wayne's horse was "Duke the Devil Horse." Somehow, the name Duke got transferred to Wayne himself and would become his life-long nickname. Posters from these early Wayne Westerns at Warner Bros. are exceptionally scarce. We've only sold one other copy of this, and that was seventeen years ago. This half sheet has light creases and edge wear, and minor surface wear.
