Fighting Caravans (Paramount, 1931). Very Fine on Paper. One Sheet (26" X 39.75") Style B.
Gary Cooper and Lily Damita headline this lavish Paramount Western, with Cooper fresh off his star-making role in Morocco alongside Marlene Dietrich. In this film, Cooper plays Clint Belmet, a frontiersman facing a prison sentence, who convinces Damita's character to pose as his wife to avoid jail time. Together, they join a wagon train bound for California, and along the journey, Clint finds himself falling in love with her. This extremely rare Style B stone litho is a full-bleed poster, meaning it was printed without white borders and is untrimmed. This is only the second time we have offered this same poster, with its last appearance at auction all the way back in 2008. There are fairly heavy horizontal creases and light edge wear which was made invisible with expert restoration. A stunning poster.
