Description

Fighting Caravans (Paramount, 1931). Rolled, Very Fine-. Full-Bleed One Sheet (26.5" X 40") Style A.
Making its debut appearance at Heritage is this fantastic style A one sheet, hailing from a relatively early Gary Cooper Western based off of a Zayne Gray novel and directed by Otto Brower and David Burton. The studio printed two gorgeous stone litho one sheets for the film that are now both extremely rare, as evidenced by the fact that we have only sold this poster's style B counterpart once before over a decade ago. Of special note to collectors, the poster is a full-bleed one sheet with printing extending all the way to the edge, a very uncommon format for the time period. This style features not just Cooper with his leading lady Lili Dalmita, who appear alone on the other one sheet, but also costars Ernest Torrence and Tully Marshall. Professional corrections have been made to fold wear, pinholes, and a few minor chips. There were a few mostly small tears with one larger tear in the lower right background, and the poster's green borders have been airbrushed. These issues had little effect on the interior of the poster even prior to repairs, which have only further enhanced the piece's beautiful presentation.
