Angel and the Badman (Republic, 1947). One Sheet (27" X 41").In one of the truly classic John Wayne films, Wayne portrays a wounded gunslinger who is taken in by a Quaker family and nursed back to health by their daughter (Gail Russell). While there, the girl's lifestyle affects him and makes him question the way he lived his former life. It was a deep performance for Wayne and it would make this one of his best films. Original posters for this title have always been scarce. There were chips off the lower corners and the upper left corners and at the ends of the middle horizontal fold. There were also two small holes in the middle horizontal folds that fell on Wayne's legs. The borders have had some slight airbrushing and there was color touch on the fold lines. Other than these imperfections, this was a very nice example of a fairly scarce Wayne one sheet. Fine+ on Linen.
