    Description

A Debtor to the Law (Pan American, 1919). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Why get actors when you can get the real thing? Henry Starr was a real-life bank robber who was shot while attempting to rob the bank in Stroud, Oklahoma. After he was released from prison he hit on the idea of making a movie of the attempt and hired many of the people he actually had tried to rob. The result was this silent film, his only cinematic appearance. Two years after the film's release, Starr was shot again while trying to rob a bank-- only this time it was fatal. There is a bit of chipping in all the borders along with tiny tears. There are also quite a few cross fold tears, primarily in the lower and middle horizontal folds. The colors are rich and the poster is very presentable. Fine-.
