DescriptionWaterloo Bridge (MGM, 1940). Fine+. Window Card (14" X 22").
Considered the personal favorite film of stars Vivien Leigh and Robert Taylor, this remake of the 1931 James Whale film version dramatically downplays the prostitution angle that had been central to the earlier production, and also softens the rather harsh ending of Whale's picture. The result was a different, but no less moving film. Taylor and Leigh make a handsome pair on this beautiful window card, a first time offer from Heritage. The poster has creasing, pinholes, light smudging and staining, and a gouge in the top imprint area, and one in the credits area. There is also a small bend at the top right and a scratch in the imprint area.
Estimate: $400 - $800.
