    Description

World War II Propaganda (War Production Board, 1942). Folded, Very Fine-. Poster (20" X 28.25") "Get In the Scrap." War.
There were multiple scrap drives in the United States in 1942 to try to help alleviate some of the incredible need for raw materials for the war effort. Scrap metal was needed in huge amounts, and drives to collect metal from citizens often turned into competitions and community events. Offered here is a poster used to encourage citizens to donate any metal they could by illustrating just how much metal is needed for one tank, bomb, battleship, or anti-aircraft gun. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as light edge and fold wear, minute tears, mid creases, faint smudges, or some slight toning. There is a small tape stain in the text below the image of the anti-aircraft gun.
