    Description

World War II Propaganda (U.S. Navy, 1942 ). Fine/Very Fine. Recruitment Standee (14" X 20")"Dish it Out With the Navy" McClelland Barclay Artwork. War.
Known for his propaganda artwork through both world wars, as well as several commercial pieces in the interwar years, McClelland Barclay was one of the best poster artists of his day. His patriotism would lead him to become a front line combat artist for the U.S. Navy, where he would lose his life after his vessel was torpedoed in 1943. An unrestored standee that displays signs of use. May include light edge wear, stains, or soft creases. There are tape stains on the verso that wrap around to the front.
