    World War II Propaganda & Other Lot (Recruiting Publicity Bureau, 1944). Recruitment Poster (17" X 25") "For Your Country's Sake Today - For Your Own Sake Tomorrow" & War Bonds Poster (10" X 14").
    Known in large part for his stylistic illustrations in such books as Edith Hamilton's Mythology or Sir Richard Francis Burton's The Arabian Nights, artist Steele Savage demonstrates his semi-realistic prowess in this beautiful recruitment poster for World War II servicewomen. Also included is a linen backed "Your Bonds are a Stake in the Future" war bonds poster (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1943) with artwork by Allen Saalburg of an American flag draped over an engraved plaque, this beautiful World War II poster reminds the viewer of the importance of purchasing bonds on the future of the country. The recruitment poster has shows some fading to colors, and has staining in the lower border, and some edge and fold wear. The linen backed poster is in excellent condition. Folded and on linen, Overall Grade: Fine/Very Fine.
