    Description

World War II Propaganda (Abbott Laboratories, 1943). Rolled, Very Fine-. War Bonds Poster (11" X 15.5") "For All the Brave," David Margolis Artwork. War.
As part of the war effort, the military medical supplier Abbott Laboratories published a series of posters for the U.S. Treasury's Schools-at-War program. This program encouraged children to help their schools buy war bonds from the government, all the while recording their progress through a scrapbook that would be entered into a contest. The winning school of the competition with the best scrapbook would receive a brick from Philadelphia's historic Independence Hall as their prize. The verso of the poster features printed information about the artist of the featured image, David Margolis. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, light creases, unobtrusive stains and smudges, or mild surface rippling. There is some staining on the poster's verso that does not affect the image on the front.
