    Description

World War II Propaganda (Abbott Laboratories, 1943). Rolled, Very Fine-. War Bonds Poster (11" X 15.5") "Carry Your Share," Joseph Hirsch Artwork. War.
During World War II, the government encouraged participation from all of its citizens in the war effort, including school children. Abbott Laboratories, a pharmaceutical company that provided medical supplies to the U.S. military, published these posters as part of the the Treasury Department's Schools-at-War program, which encouraged children to fundraise for War Bonds to be purchased by their schools. The name and a short biography of the poster's artist, Joseph Hirsch, can be found printed on the verso. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, light creases, small stains and smudges, or light surface rippling. There is staining on the verso, but this does not affect the image on the front.
