    Description

World War II Propaganda (1942). War Bond Poster (21.5" X 28") "Buy a Bond to Honor Every Mother's Son in Service." War.
This theatre promotional war bond poster showcases a saluting mother with framed photos of her children, each wearing a different uniform of the military. The drive was to promote "Salute-to-our-Heroes Month," in September of 1942 and the bonds themselves could be purchased at participating theaters. An unrestored jumbo window card that may be slightly brittle due to age, show some paper loss or staining, edge wear, slight surface rippling, and pinholes. There is paper loss in the upper right corner and along the upper right border, as well as the lower left corner has detached pieces that have been reattached with paper tape on the verso. It is most likely in need of some degree of work or restoration. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Artwork by Michael. Very Good-.
