    Description

World War I Propaganda (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1917). War Savings Stamps Poster (21" X 32") "Your War Savings Pledge." War.
Reminding Americans that some of their countrymen are giving their all for the war effort, Uncle Sam encourages the rest of country to do their part by investing in War Savings Stamps. With a shorter maturity date and lower cost, these stamps were designed to be bought by individually, instead of companies or banks, as with war bonds. An unrestored poster that may be slightly brittle due to age, show some paper loss, tears, creases, smudges, noticeable stains, and/or some very slight fading to colors. There is cellophane and paper tape on the verso. It is most likely in need of some degree of work or restoration. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Rolled, Very Good+.
