    Description

World War I Propaganda (U.S. Department of the Treasury, 1919). Fine+ on Linen. Victory Liberty Loan Poster (30.5" X 41") "And They Thought We Couldn't Fight!" Victor Clyde Forsythe Artwork. War.
A bruised but unbroken soldier returns home after the war, bringing along a few souvenirs from his scraps with the Germans. Following the end of the "Great War" - wherein the American military had proven itself as quite a formidable modern fighting force - the fifth Liberty Loan drive was established to pay off lingering war debts. A partially restored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have edge wear, small chips, minor paper lifts, stains and smudging, and/or dust shadows. Although backed on linen, no further restoration has been attempted. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades.
