    Description

World War I Propaganda (United States Treasury, 1918). War Saving Stamps Poster (30.5" X 40") "Joan of Arc Saved France."
Commissioned by the U.S. Treasury, artist Haskell Coffin produced this strong female image of Joan of Arc to inspire and appeal to women's clubs throughout the U.S. to aid in the selling of war saving stamps during World War I. Paperbacked, the poster looks great after touchup to a tear in the top border that extends into the background, a tear in the right border, and chips in the top and bottom border. Fine/Very Fine on Paper.
