    Description

World War I Propaganda (Scottish War Savings Committee, 1917). Very Fine+ on Linen. Scottish War Bonds Poster (20.25" X 30") "Our Cause Is Just," Forde Artwork.
Invoking the image of the fierce King Robert the Bruce, a national hero of Scotland, this stirring poster encouraged Scottish citizens to do their part and join one of the country's hundreds of war savings associations. The poster was once owned by the foremost World War I poster collector in the world, Colonel E. H. McCrahon, who signed his initials signed on the verso, as he did with all of the items in his collections. With wonderfully detailed stone litho printing, this linen-backed poster has received no further restoration as it shows no signs of wear. Very Fine+ on Linen.
