    Description

World War I Propaganda (Emergency Fleet Corporation, 1917). Trimmed Poster (28.5" X 38.5") "Together We Win," James Montgomery Flagg Artwork. War.
James Montgomery Flagg, the creator of the iconic Uncle Sam, painted another fantastic illustration for the newly established Emergency Fleet Corporation, which kept a line of trans-Atlantic communication open between the US and its allies across the sea. A partially restored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. Although backed on linen, this poster has had no touchup applied. It may have edge wear, pinholes, mild creasing, tears in the borders and interior, small chips, smudges, and/or unobtrusive stains. There are some tape stains at the edges and a tear through the linen at the lower left corner. The linen has been trimmed slightly into the borders, but this does not affect any of the printed areas. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades. Please see full-color, enlargeable image above for more details. Fine+ on Linen.
