World War I Propaganda (Committee on Public Information, 1918). Rolled, Fine. United War Work Campaign Poster (20" X 30") "For Your Boy," Arthur William Brown Artwork. War.
The United War Work Campaign was a one-week fundraising effort that raised over $200 million dollars to aid and boost the morale of American troops overseas at the end of World War I. Seven non-governmental groups joined together in the effort, including the YMCA which is the focus of this campaign poster featuring a young soldier being comforted. An unrestored stone litho poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have mild edge wear, slight creases, moderate tears, small chips, subtle toning, smudges, or stains including tape stains. There is a strip of plastic tape in the border, and there are strips of plastic and paper tape on the verso. There is also a tear on the top edge of the poster that extends into the image.
