World War I Propaganda (American Red Cross, ca. 1917). Fine on Linen. World War I Fundraising Poster (28" X 40.5") "They Fight For You... Protect Them," W.G. Sesser Artwork.
This powerful World War I poster highlights the urgent need for donations to the Red Cross to support and protect soldiers and allies overseas. Designed to evoke compassion and action, it emphasizes the vital role of civilian contributions in the war effort. W.G. Sesser, known for his impactful wartime illustrations, skillfully captures the spirit of sacrifice and humanitarian aid in this striking design. A restored or unrestored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. Airbrushing, touchup, and some replacement has addressed edge and fold wear, creases, tears, a few stains and chips, and a couple of areas of minor paper loss. A few imperfections, including scuffs and a few slight border tears, remain. Additionally, there is a small amount of adhesive on the linen verso. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades.
