    Description

What Price Glory (Masquers Club of Hollywood, c.1949). Autographed Program (Multiple Pages). War.
The 1924 play, What Price Glory was revived by legendary director John Ford as a fun-raiser for the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and featured one of the first true all-star casts to grace the stage. Starring John Wayne (his theatrical stage debut, playing a small part), Gregory Peck, Maureen O'Hara, Pat O'Brien, Ward Bond, George O'Brien, Harry Carey Jr., Oliver Hardy, Robert Armstrong, William Lundigan, Wallace Ford, Jimmy Lydon, Jim Davis, and Ed Begley, just to name a few. An unrestored program with a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge and spine wear, minor handing creases, very small tears, and tiny chips on the cover. The program has a soft vertical crease. The program has been signed "Pat O'Brien," George O'Brien," "Harry Carey Jr.," "Bill Lundigan," "Wallace Ford," and "Best Wishes to lovely lady! Don Summers" in their printed areas of the program. Heritage believes that the autographs in this lot are authentic, but know before bidding that no Certificate of Authenticity is provided. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Very Fine.
