James Montgomery Flagg, one of the most prolific American illustrators and poster designers of the early 20th century, created this poster to advertise his venture in film making as well. This was a short subject he wrote about a young man who goes off to war in Europe, is followed by his girlfriend who is in the Red Cross, and is saved by her as well when he is wounded in battle. A restored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. Touchup has endeavored to address a few chips, slight surface lifts, and several small to significant tears. Some of this, as well as light fold wear, pinholes, and slight creases and toning, remain. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades.
