    Description

The Longest Day (20th Century Fox, 1962). Advance One Sheet (27" X 41"). Eddie Albert, Richard Burton and John Wayne lead a cast of, as the poster says, 42 international stars. This sprawling WWII epic took two years, four directors, and $10 million to make. In a style later borrowed by "Tora! Tora! Tora!," the film tells the story of the D-Day invasion of Normandy from both the German and Allied perspectives. The film faced several challenges during production. Most notably, the project was almost scrapped by 20th Century Fox to free up money for the over-budget "Cleopatra." This folded advance one sheet has small holes at the crossfolds. There is a slight separation at the border of the top crease and some folding at the corners, but the color is saturated and fresh, leaving a poster that will display very well, with or without a linen backing. Very Fine.
