Humphrey Bogart stars in one of his most acclaimed roles, in this classic war drama. After assuming command of the U.S.S. Caine during World War II, Bogart starts to show signs of mental instability, forcing his officers to make difficult decisions. Co-starring Jose Ferrer, Van Johnson, and Fred MacMurray, the film was nominated for seven Academy Awards. Prior to restoration, the poster showed enlarged pinholes in the borders, pinholes in the background, staining in the right border, tears in the folds, a tear in the title, paper loss in the lower left corner into the credits, and creasing in the upper border.
