    Description

Sands of Iwo Jima (Republic, 1950). Insert (14" X 36").
John Wayne received his first Oscar nomination for his work in this film, then was honored even further. At Grauman's Chinese Theater, he put his footprints, not in the regular cement as many Hollywood greats had done, but in black sand shipped in from Iwo Jima and mixed with the cement. Wayne's foot and fist prints remain in "the sands of Iwo Jima" on Hollywood Boulevard to this day. This insert poster is almost as fresh as the day it was printed. It is uncommonly "rolled" with no creases or folds making it a full grade above what is normally seen. There is only a very tiny tear in the right border. Here's your chance to own one of the top pieces we've ever seen on this great title. Rolled, Very Fine+.
