World War I Propaganda (Emergency Fleet Corp., 1918). Fine+ on Linen. Poster (54" X 39.25"). "Nothing Stops These Men," Howard E. Giles Artwork.
Artist Howard E. Giles created this poster for the Emergency Fleet Corporation in an effort to encourage shipyard workers to do their best for the soldiers oversea. Giles' work was frequently shown in Harper's Monthly Magazine and like many of his fellow illustrators, he designed propaganda posters during the war. The interior of the poster shows only slight fading to colors. Corrections have been made to a few chips and small tears in the borders. Still visible are minute stains and some smudges. The borders and white background have been airbrushed. The linen has been trimmed to the borders and slightly into the poster only in a few places.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
