    Description

    Kagemusha (Toho, 1980). Japanese Poster (47" X 71").
Akira Kurosawa came to fame by directing some of the most important and deeply emotional films of the Japanese cinema. By 1980, his films were not considered as "box office" as they had in the past and the director was forced to look elsewhere for financing. Finally, his long-time admirers and friends, Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas came through and Kurosawa created one of his most important films. The story revolves around a thief who is recruited into posing as a Japanese warlord and how he deals with the deceased warlord's spirit. This amazing poster captures the climactic battle at the films conclusion and is very rare. It has some staple marks in the corners and some creasing in the lower left corner but is otherwise in very clean condition. Very Fine.
