I Wanted Wings (Paramount, 1941). Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
The story follows three young men who join the U.S. Army Air Corps with dreams of becoming pilots, they face grueling training, personal conflicts, and emotional tests of character. As tensions rise and war looms, each man must prove himself in the air and on the ground. Veronica Lake plays a femme fatale entangled in the drama, while the film emphasizes duty, honor, and friendship. Released before the US entered World War II, the film used real footage of U.S. Army Air Corps flight training, lending authenticity to its aerial scenes. Backed to linen, there has been touch-up to the folds and fold junctions, and the left border has been airbrushed. There has been small or minute areas of paper replacement to the borders. However, many issues did not receive any restoration, so splits, small tears, minute chips and some light fold wear remain visible.
