DescriptionHellcats of the Navy (Columbia, 1957). French Grande (46.25" X 61.75").
Ronald Reagan, as a submarine commander, takes on the Japanese army in this film set during WWII. It's up to Reagan to chart an undersea field of mines blocking a Chinese harbor and knock out the Japanese armies supplies to their bases in Japan. This film is important as it was the only movie to feature Reagan and Nancy Davis-- who was already married to Reagan at the time of the filming and would go on to become the First Lady to Reagan's Presidency. The film also featured a role with the real Admiral Nimitz-- former head of the Navy in the Pacific Ocean. The poster had small crossfold tears and minor tears in the borders. There were also some small chips in the center-points and the paper itself had some extra creasing. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
