Hell's Angels (United Artists, 1930). Pressbook (Multiple Pages) and Premiere Program Book (5" X 7") (Multiple Pages). Rare pressbook for Howard Hughes's classic aviation drama. Jean Harlow shines on the posters that grace the back pages, half of which have yet to turn up. There are two insert sections - the advertising campaign book which opens up into a 24" X 36" foldout, and a publicity section printed on pink paper, which features pre-written articles for newspapers. There is also the regular pressbook at ten pages, printed on glossy paper. This book (graded Fine) has been folded once, with wear on the fold. The front cover has a three inch piece missing which has been replaced. The inside pages have become separated from the outer cover. The book and the ad sections are complete with no cuts. There is tape on the inside cover and along the spine of the inner pages. The rare Premiere Program Book is hardcover with gold covers and was sold at the New York City premiere of the film. The original Aug. 15, 1930 ticket (another rarity) is included inside the book. The book contains lots of photos of the stars and the action scenes in addition to informative articles on the filming. It is in very fine condition with only tiny corner bumps and a tiny edge ding on top. From the collection of Jim Ashton. Overall Fine/Very Fine.
