    Description

Feuertaufe (Tobis Filmkunst, 1940). Italian 4 - Fogli (55" X 77") AKA "Baptism of Fire."
Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Propaganda for the Third Reich, supervised a trilogy of feature-length war documentaries depicting the string of German military successes in the first 18 months of the war. This was the second in the trilogy called Feuertaufe or Baptism of Fire, released in Germany and Italy (Hitler's ally) in April of 1940, depicted Hitler's infamous blitzkrieg of Poland. Combat cameramen filmed the aerial campaign as well as preparations for flight, the massive air strikes and the devastation wreaked upon Polish towns and armies. The poster has paper patches supporting some of the folds as well as several missing pieces, none no larger than two half dollars which have been crudely repainted. Overall the posters still presents well and would be a great candidate for professional restoration. This is a Heritage first time offer. Folded, Fine+.
