    Description

Army Day (c.1940s). Rolled, Very Fine-. Poster (17" X 25") "Part of the Team for Security." War.
Offered is a poster advertising for the national Army Day which was celebrated initially on May 1st, but was later changed to April 6th in 1929 to commemorate the anniversary date of the United States' entry into World War I. Though it was last observed nationally in 1949, Army Day played an important part in acquainting the public with the Army's activities, as well as drawing attention to the need for a strong national defense system. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, soft folds, light creases, very small chips and gouges, minute tears, or unobtrusive stains/smudges. Rolled, Very Fine-.
