    After Mein Kampf? (Crystal Pictures, 1940). Photos (20) (8" X 10"). War.
Vintage gelatin silver, single weight, black and white, glossy photos. Material is seldom seen on this British made "documentary" that was actually one of the first to really show Adolph Hitler for what he truly was... a madman and a monster. The British used stock footage, news footage and re-enactments to tell the life story of Hitler from his early days to his WWI days and his eventual misuse of the Nazi party. In one of the reenactment scenes was the film acting debut of Peter Ustinov playing Marinus van der Lubbe, the man who started the Reichstag fire in 1933. The fire enabled Hitler to gain dictatorial power in Germany under emergency laws. There was never another free election in Nazi Germany. Indeed, that event is what made Germany Nazi Germany. Starring Robert Beatty, Herbert Lom, Peter Ustinov, Derek Blomfield. Directed by Norman Lee. Unrestored photos that display signs of use. May include light edge wear, mild toning, slight curl, and some minor corner bends. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine/Very Fine.
