DescriptionVictory Through Air Power (United Artists, 1943). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Certainly a unexpected bit of history, many would be surprised to find that it was none other than an animated Walt Disney feature that persuaded FDR to pursue strategic bombing against the Axis powers. Selling the theories of Major Alexander de Seversky, who called for an independent Air Force, this cartoon documentary served as a heavy piece of propaganda for WWII audiences. Some of the animation from the film is pictured on this powerful poster, which has had touchup to the folds, a minor tear and chip in the right border, and pinholes in the corners. The upper horizontal fold had some small bits of paper loss that have now been fully restored. Very Fine- on Linen.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
