DescriptionTWA Hollywood (Early 1960s). David Klein Full-Bleed Travel Poster (25" X 40").
The lights of Tinseltown sparkle in this brilliant poster by Davis Klein, promising travelers all of the glitz and glam that Hollywood has to offer. As one of TWA's favorite artists of the 50's and 60's, Klein created numerous posters for the airline with colorful illustrations of locations all around the world. So popular were his posters that the company would update and reprint the images years later for new advertising campaigns. Such was the case for this colorful piece, which was originally titled "Los Angeles" and featured one of TWA's Lockheed Constellations, now picturing the silhouette of the airline's new Boeing 707 jets and the tagline "Hollywood." It's now a desirable collector's piece, being much harder to find than the earlier "Los Angeles" posters. With an interior clean of any flaws, this poster shows some edge wear with mild creases and small tears. Rolled, Very Fine.
Estimate: $1,200 - $2,400.
