Description

    Treasure Island (MGM, 1934). Insert (14" X 36").
Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale of a boy who seeks adventure and joins the pirate crew of Long John Silver has been filmed many times, but none may be more famous than this version with the old salt himself, Wallace Beery, as the nefarious pirate. There are pinholes in the corners and a few in the center of both the upper and lower borders that do extend into the artwork. The folds show a slight bit of color break and have been reinforced on the verso with paper tape. The middle fold line has water stains along it which have caused a slight warp. There is a chip out of the lower left side that just went into the blue background that has had amateur restoration and there is a slight bit of water mold just along the edges. Folded, Fine.
