Toho Studio Export Exhibitor Book (Toho, 1953). Exhibitor Book (10" X 14.5," 50 Pages).
This is a fabulous and early Toho Studio Export Exhibitor promotional brochure. Lavishly produced and advertising 23 films with full double page layout of each film. The pages include, in English: synopsis, cast and crew with wonderful photo layouts of each. Though there is no date of printing we believe the book to date from late 1953 or early 1954 due to what is Included. Titles such as Seven Samurai (the last film in the book), Doomed, Judo Saga and Drunken Angel are but a few and are those directed by Akira Kurosawa. Several interior pages are printed in color. We've never seen this rarity before and it should be a wonderful addition for the Japanese cinema collector. There is an ink stamp mark on the top of the front cover and writing in grease pencil on the back cover. The covers also have light handling wear and light spine wear. Very Fine-.
