DescriptionTo Have and Have Not (Warner Brothers, 1944). Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27.5" X 41").
Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall met and fell in love while making this Howard Hawks film, and every bit of their chemistry shows on screen. In this Ernest Hemingway-based adventure, Bogart operates a charter boat in WWII Martinique where he runs into a sultry pickpocket (Bacall) and French resistance fighters. Bacall sings "How Little We Know" by Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael, who has a small role as the piano player. A very clean example, this has had no touchup applied to pinpoint crossfold separations or pinholes in the corners. There is some discoloration where the poster was once matted, and there are remnants from where an ink stamp was sanded off of the verso. Very Fine on Linen.
Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
