DescriptionThunderball (United Artists, 1965). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. French Grande (46.25" X 63"). Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis Artwork.
The word "Thunderball" refers to a British military term used by soldiers to describe the mushroom cloud produced during an atomic explosion and this, the fourth installment in the James Bond franchise, again stars Sean Connery as Bond. Agent 007, painted here as suave as ever by the talented Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis, is pitted against a SPECTRE agent who has stolen two atomic warheads and is using them to blackmail both the United Kingdom and the United States. The poster displays light edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, staple holes, and some creases. Also visible are small tears, unobtrusive smudges, as well as mild toning. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
