Winter Kills by John Solie (Avco Embassy, 1979). Very Fine+. Signed Original Mixed Media Gouache & Acrylic Poster Artwork on Illustration Board Used on One Sheet (15" X 20").
Richard Condon (of Manchurian Candidate fame) wrote the novel on which this film is based. Largely influenced by the Kennedy assassination, the story revolves around the younger brother (played by Jeff Bridges) of a murdered American president. A dying man approaches him and claims to have been the second shooter in the assassination. Thus the intrigue begins. John Solie perfectly captures the different aspects of this underrated film. His interior painting shows practically no noticeable wear, while the illustration board has pinholes in the corners, soft corner bumps, a couple of very minor stains, and a surface cut in the right border, most likely from the production process. The piece comes with an acetate protective cover, as well as a paper cover, both attached to the board with masking tape. Very Fine+.
