Description

The Manchurian Candidate (United Artists, 1962). British Quad (30" X 40").
Based on the best-selling novel by Richard Condon, and tautly directed by John Frankenheimer, The Manchurian Candidate was a movie far ahead of its time. Frank Sinatra heads a superlative cast as a soldier who returns home from the war, unaware that he is part of an elaborate plot by the enemy to place a brainwashed soldier (Laurence Harvey) in a place of political power. Angela Lansbury gives a searing performance as Harvey's manipulative mother. This sublime British quad features the iconic artwork associated with this title, and is in near-pristine condition, with some minor edge wear being the only thing to note. Very Fine+.
