Description

Three Ages (MGM, 1926). Swedish One Sheet (28" X 39.5").
Early posters for silent comedic genius Buster Keaton are always popular, and this is one of particular significance - this was Keaton's very first full length feature film. Three Ages is a parody of D.W. Griffith's epic silent film Intolerance set in the Stone Age, the era of the Roman Empire, and modern 1920s America. This was the film where Keaton made the famous leap between two tall buildings, missed, and unintentionally fell. He didn't scrap the shot, but used it to facilitate a chase sequence. Offered for the first time at Heritage, this comedic stone litho poster shows a small tear at the vertical fold and some smudging in the bottom border, and wrinkling in the top and left borders. Folded, Very Fine-.
